Responsibilities
- Develop and qualify polymers and composites for superconducting magnets and accelerator technologies
- Design and validate resin transfer, bonding, composite fabrication and additive-manufacturing processes
- Lead multidisciplinary research and design projects in the Polymer Laboratory
- Identify promising material technologies and establish new experimental capabilities
Requirements
- Master’s degree, PhD or equivalent relevant experience in materials, mechanical or chemical engineering
- Experience developing polymer and fibre-reinforced composite manufacturing processes
- Experience with material characterisation techniques
- Spoken and written English
