CERN offers a Scientific Associateship in Experimental Physics in Geneva for an established scientist with an existing CERN relationship to use its research facilities, contribute to experimental and applied physics programmes, collaborate with scientific teams and bring senior expertise to international research.

• Carry out scientific activities using CERN research facilities
• Contribute to experimental-physics programmes and related applied activities
• Engage with CERN scientific teams and programmes in the relevant field
• Bring established expertise to scientific work and international collaborations
• Support complex research programmes through advanced scientific or technical knowledge
• Share knowledge and communicate professionally across the research environment

• Status as an established and experienced scientist with a strong academic and professional background
• Active involvement in scientific research or advanced technical activity
• An existing professional relationship with CERN
• Continued employment by the home institute during the appointment
• Age below CERN's retirement age by the application deadline

• The hybrid associateship lasts up to 12 months and may be extendable to 24 months
• The published net monthly subsistence allowance ranges from CHF 6,683 to CHF 9,465
