CERN offers a Corresponding Associateship in Theoretical Physics in Geneva for researchers or teachers to pursue scientific work while on leave from their home institute, engage with CERN's theory community, follow current particle-physics developments and contribute expertise to scientific exchange.

• Conduct scientific work in theoretical particle physics or a closely related field
• Follow and engage with current developments relevant to the research discipline
• Interact with CERN theoretical-physics researchers and scientific groups
• Contribute expertise to scientific discussions and knowledge exchange
• Pursue research or teaching-related activities while on leave from the home institute
• Maintain links between the home institution and the international theoretical-physics community

• An advanced academic background in theoretical particle physics or a closely related discipline
• Solid research or teaching experience and active scientific engagement
• Continued employment by a home institute during the appointment
• A home institute in an eligible CERN Member or Associate Member State, excluding France, Italy, Germany and Great Britain
• Age below CERN's retirement age by the application deadline

• The hybrid associateship lasts up to six months
• The published net subsistence allowance is CHF 4,384 per month
