Job Description

Manages NATO's portfolio for communications resilience, redundancy and survivability. The role develops CIS requirements, initiates improvement projects, coordinates technical and policy stakeholders, and guides Digital Backbone workflows from requirement definition through delivery and acceptance.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Implement NATO's redundancy, resilience and survivability initiative under the NATO 2030 agenda
  • Develop CIS survivability and resilience requirements using PACE principles
  • Initiate urgent projects that improve communications resilience
  • Support resilience-requirements reviews for the NATO Digital Backbone
  • Resolve technical viewpoints with operational, project and policy stakeholders
  • Build and maintain repositories, roadmaps and databases of approved resilience requirements
  • Design workflows that move resilience requirements from initiation to delivery and acceptance
  • Initiate service-level agreement reviews for integration of the resilience initiative

Role Requirements

  • At least 4 years of project or programme management experience, including at least 2 years in CIS project management and coordination
  • University degree in a relevant discipline with 2 years of related experience, or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training and 4 years of related experience
  • English proficiency at NATO SLP 3333
  • Nationality of a NATO member state
  • Willingness to undertake temporary-duty assignments, operational deployments and occasional travel
  • Ability to obtain the required NATO security clearance and medical certificate

Desired Criteria

  • At least 2 years of experience in a strategic military or civilian headquarters or international organisation in a similar or adjacent role
  • Familiarity with the NATO environment
