Job Description
Advances UNISFA's public-information work by planning outreach, producing campaign materials and strengthening relationships with communities, media and local authorities in Abyei. The volunteer will monitor local media, cover mission activities and develop digital, print and multimedia content that improves understanding of the mission's mandate, priorities and peacekeeping contribution.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Plan awareness events using creative methods that communicate UNISFA's mandate and priorities
- Develop outreach plans and produce promotional materials for targeted audiences
- Build contact networks with authorities, community leaders, civil society and local media
- Monitor and analyse local media and prepare reports for mission leadership
- Cover mission stories and events through reporting, photography, videography and multimedia content
- Create web and social-media content and design graphics aligned with UN communication standards
- Support procurement, budgeting and daily administrative work in the public-information section
Role Requirements
- Experience in translation, community outreach, event management, public relations, graphic design and website management or design
- Arabic and English
