Job Description

Leads field delivery for UNCDF's livelihood enhancement and economic diversification work in Papua New Guinea's Highlands. The role coordinates financial-inclusion activities, partners and local authorities; supports blended-finance instruments and investment readiness; and tracks results, risks and learning to strengthen inclusive livelihoods, market access and resilience for conflict-affected communities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Implement UNCDF activities under the LEED Joint Programme
  • Coordinate field delivery with partners and government counterparts
  • Support financial-inclusion instruments and investment readiness
  • Conduct community needs assessments and beneficiary outreach
  • Collect results data and contribute to programme reporting

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or bachelor's degree with additional qualifying experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with a master's degree or 7 years with a bachelor's degree
  • Fluency in English and Tok Pisin

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in fragile or conflict-affected contexts
  • Experience with investment opportunities and development finance
  • Experience with GBV or peacebuilding issues
