Job Description
Supports PAHO's health-systems department in coordinating technical-cooperation projects that advance universal health and primary care across the Americas. The role manages voluntary contributions, plans and reports against institutional priorities, coordinates countries, donors and technical teams, monitors budgets and disbursements, maintains project tools and turns performance evidence into clear recommendations for decision-makers.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support the design, negotiation, implementation and monitoring of technical-cooperation projects
- Coordinate implementation, evaluation and reporting for UHC-Partnership voluntary contributions
- Lead work planning, performance monitoring, assessments and institutional reporting
- Maintain partnerships with countries, technical units, subregional programmes, donors and other stakeholders
- Coordinate resource mobilisation, financial monitoring, disbursement, quality assurance and donor reporting
- Maintain project-management and collaboration tools and prepare senior-management briefings
- Coordinate delivery with WHO technical teams and funding partners
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health or a social science related to the position
- Five years of combined national and international experience in project management, health planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Fluency in Spanish or English with working knowledge of the other language
- Practical knowledge of results-based management and international technical cooperation
- Project planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting capability
- Budget management, financial analysis, forecasting and resource-coordination capability
- Essential use of Microsoft productivity and collaboration software, enterprise resource-planning systems and management information systems
Desired Criteria
- Master's degree in public health, policy and planning, project management, health administration, public administration, management or a related field
- Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders including international donor agencies
