Project Manager – Land and Trust-Building

UNDP Sri Lanka seeks a project manager to lead LANTERN, a joint UNDP-IOM initiative addressing land grievances and state-citizen trust. The manager provides strategic leadership, coordinates government and community partners, oversees conflict-sensitive delivery, manages resources and risks, and assures results and reporting.

Department: LANTERN Project

• Lead strategic and technical direction for the LANTERN project
• Manage project planning, delivery, quality assurance, budgets and risks
• Guide land-governance, durable-solutions and trust-building interventions
• Coordinate government, IOM, civil-society and community stakeholders
• Ensure conflict sensitivity, human rights, gender equality and youth participation
• Monitor results and adapt implementation to political and institutional developments
• Provide donor, management and knowledge reporting

• Master's degree in law, human rights, economics, political science, governance, business administration, management or a related field, or bachelor's degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least five years of relevant development-sector experience with a master's degree or seven years with a bachelor's degree
• Project-management experience
• Experience managing programmes in peacebuilding, governance, social cohesion, durable solutions, land governance, human rights or reconciliation
• Fluency in English and either Sinhala or Tamil
