Responsibilities
- Analyse democratic governance and civic participation trends across West and Central Africa
- Develop knowledge products on regional and country-level governance trends
- Design and support projects that broaden democratic space and strengthen civil and political rights
- Implement initiatives under the AU–UNDP Africa Facility for Inclusive Transition
- Mobilise resources for UNDP democratic-governance initiatives
- Support the regional governance programme and produce knowledge and communication materials
Requirements
- Education in public policy and management, political science, public-sector management, public administration, law, development studies or a related field
- Experience providing technical or advisory support on democratic governance at national and regional levels
- Experience managing governance projects focused on civic participation
- Experience developing partnerships and mobilising or managing donor funding
- English proficiency
