Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of the strategic vision for the SCOPE analytical mechanism
- Guide specialists on analytical approaches, methodologies, tools and databases
- Conceptualise SCOPE Level 1, 2 and 3 analytical products
- Assure coherence and technical quality across situation analyses and country studies
- Coordinate governance and policy analysis supporting country programming
- Formalise coordination structures across headquarters and decentralised offices
- Monitor the cost-effective use of human and financial resources
- Coordinate workshops that strengthen organisational learning and alignment
- Represent SCOPE with strategic partners and advance policy dialogue
- Document innovative analytical approaches in scientific research papers
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in economics, agriculture, international administration, business administration, law, international development or a closely related discipline
- At least seven years of relevant programme management, administration, development cooperation, partnership or policy-development experience
- Relevant experience in a large multidisciplinary national or international organisation
- Working knowledge at level C of English and intermediate level B knowledge of another official FAO language
