Overview

Coordinates FAO biodiversity-mainstreaming projects from Rome, including the Agri-NBSAPs initiative and a Kunming Biodiversity Fund project. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technical and operational delivery of biodiversity projects
  • Oversee project workplans, budgets and implementation progress
  • Monitor results and prepare programme and financial reports
  • Guide national officers and consultants on policy analysis and consultations
  • Coordinate global activities, deliverables and stakeholder engagement
  • Select service providers and implementing partners
  • Develop technical briefs, case studies and knowledge-sharing tools
  • Prepare biodiversity project proposals and support resource mobilisation

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in a relevant natural resources or agricultural field
  • Five years of relevant international cooperation programme or project management experience
  • Working knowledge of English at level C
  • Intermediate knowledge of another official FAO language at level B
