Job Description
Coordinates implementation of UN Women’s THRIVE project in Sri Lanka, supporting women’s economic resilience, positive social-norm change and participation in leadership. The project officer manages delivery, partner coordination, budgets, monitoring and reporting, while contributing technical inputs, advocacy products and evidence that improve programme quality and crisis-responsive support for marginalized women.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation and daily delivery of assigned project outputs
- Support assessments and stakeholder coordination for project deliverables
- Monitor technical and financial reports from implementing partners
- Support budgets, procurement and contracting in line with UN procedures
- Conduct field visits and update monitoring frameworks with lessons learned
- Prepare technical reports, donor reports and knowledge products
- Support partnerships, advocacy campaigns and resource-mobilization inputs
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Women’s Studies, Development Studies, International Relations, Law, Human Rights or a related social-science field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of experience
- At least one year of progressively responsible experience supporting gender-equality and women’s-empowerment projects
- Fluency in English, Sinhala and Tamil
