Job Description

Supports project-management and community-engagement work for construction of UNILA’s Campus Arandu in Paraná. The intern helps organise activities and project records, prepare documents and presentations, and integrate gender, diversity, inclusion, safeguarding and human-rights perspectives into work with project teams and the surrounding nearby local community.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support extension activities related to construction of the UNILA campus
  • Organise project activities and manage project documentation
  • Systematise information and prepare documents and presentations
  • Support integration of gender, diversity and inclusion perspectives in project activities
  • Support implementation of protection against sexual exploitation, abuse and sexual harassment policy
  • Mobilise partnerships to promote decent employment
  • Support participatory activities with the community and project beneficiaries
  • Raise awareness of human-rights issues among the project team and community

Role Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme in Anthropology, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Film and Audiovisual, Cultural Mediation, Public Health, Rural Development, Food Security, Public Administration, Public Policy, Architecture, Urbanism, Engineering or a related field
  • Intermediate Portuguese
  • Intermediate Spanish

Desired Criteria

  • Study from the third undergraduate semester or at postgraduate level
  • Experience in research, extension or work related to one of the project’s thematic areas
  • Experience supporting project proposals, manuals or academic reports
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate study at UNILA
