Job Description

Coordinates delivery of IOM Armenia country-office projects, aligning implementation, budgets, technical work and partner engagement with plans and donor requirements. The role analyses developments affecting delivery, convenes capacity-building activities, manages project reporting and documentation, and guides staff while strengthening procedures, lessons learned and future project design.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate project implementation and adjust work plans to changing field conditions
  • Research and analyse developments, reports, legislation and documentation relevant to project delivery
  • Monitor budget expenditure, approved budgets and revisions
  • Coordinate financial, administrative and technical project aspects with IOM policies and donor requirements
  • Plan and conduct capacity-building workshops for internal and external parties
  • Liaise with authorities, UN agencies, partners, donors and other stakeholders
  • Prepare correspondence, briefings, presentations and narrative and financial reports
  • Document good practices and lessons learned, develop procedures and supervise reporting staff

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field with five years of relevant professional experience, or High School diploma with seven years
  • Experience liaising with government authorities, institutions, UN agencies and non-governmental organizations
  • Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking or other vulnerable groups
  • Fluency in English and Armenian, oral and written

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions in a multi-cultural setting
