Job Description

This project-support role helps deliver UNDP’s earthquake recovery work in Mandalay. The Project Associate will coordinate financial, procurement, administrative and logistics processes; manage budgets, payments, assets and fleet support; maintain project records and reporting; and enable efficient operations for community-led recovery, restored services and livelihoods after the 2025 earthquake.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support project work planning, budget updates, meeting coordination and project documentation
  • Manage budget availability, expenditure controls, payment processing and financial reporting in Quantum
  • Process requisitions, procurement cases, invoices and project-related payments
  • Maintain petty cash, office-running costs and travel reimbursements in line with UNDP procedures
  • Manage project logistics, vehicle fleet, assets, inventory, office premises and staff schedules
  • Maintain administrative, personnel and financial files and shared electronic workspaces
  • Support audits, spot checks, knowledge products and operational-efficiency improvements

Role Requirements

  • Secondary Education with six years of progressively responsible experience, or Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, economics, political or social sciences with three years
  • Experience using office software and web-based management systems
  • Experience in project administration and operational support
  • Experience processing financial transactions in an enterprise resource planning system
  • Fluency in Myanmar and English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with UNDP or United Nations corporate tools
  • Experience in financial management, premises management or fleet management
  • Knowledge of procurement procedures and monitoring and evaluation tools
