Job Description

Supports IOM work on labour mobility, social inclusion and resettlement in the Netherlands, liaising with public authorities, institutions and vulnerable migrant communities. The associate contributes to migration-focused project delivery, coordinates relationships across government and civil-society actors, and applies Dutch and European migration frameworks to strengthen practical support, integration and resettlement activities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support labour mobility, social inclusion and resettlement activities
  • Liaise with government authorities, institutions and civil-society organisations
  • Engage with migrants, refugees and other vulnerable groups
  • Apply Dutch and European migration law to programme activities
  • Contribute to project development and administrative reporting

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related field with three years of experience, or high school diploma with five years
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
  • Valid residence and work permit in the Netherlands

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with international humanitarian organisations or government institutions
  • Experience with project development
