Project Assistant-Transport (Individual Contractor)New

ESCAP seeks an individual contractor in Bangkok to support electric-mobility pilot projects across Asia and the Pacific. The assignment will develop data and analysis, financing inputs, and polished reports, while preparing materials for country-level implementation in Lao PDR, the Philippines and Tajikistan. The contractor will work with the Transport Division under a project officer's guidance.

• Provide data and analysis for project activities
• Draft financing inputs for electric-mobility pilot projects
• Edit, format and design project reports
• Prepare materials supporting pilot implementation in Lao PDR, the Philippines and Tajikistan

• University degree in transport, civil engineering, urban planning, economics, international relations or a related discipline
• Experience in transport-related topics in Asia and the Pacific
• Ability to draft and edit materials on transport or international development issues
• Familiarity with the Sustainable Development Agenda, Sustainable Development Goals and indicators
• Fluency in written and oral English

• Experience in the UN Secretariat or another UN common-system entity
• Familiarity with the UN editorial manual

• Transport research and analysis

• Assignment is expected to run from 1 September 2026 to 31 December 2026
