Summary of Responsibilities
- Initiate railway knowledge products, financing approaches and policy solutions
- Develop railway policy and regulatory options for regional operational teams
- Set strategic directions and implementation plans for the railways agenda
- Support quality assurance across lending and advisory project cycles
- Curate and disseminate lessons from World Bank railway operations
- Develop technical skills through training and learning programmes
- Build partnerships and represent the World Bank Group in technical forums
- Contribute to transport trust-fund resource mobilisation and donor engagement
Role Requirements
- Master or PhD degree in a relevant field and at least eight years of relevant railways experience
- Track record in railway policy dialogue and collaboration with country counterparts
- Strong technical experience delivering complex railway analytical work
- Operational and development experience in policy and investment lending
- Excellent communication and representational skills with senior stakeholders
