Overview

Provides technical expertise for the United Nations Global Fleet Optimization Initiative. The consultant reviews vehicle holdings and acquisition requests, analyzes utilization and disposal performance, expands pooling and redeployment, improves fleet data, and develops dashboards and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Review field-mission passenger-vehicle holdings against ceilings and operational needs
  • Assess utilization and identify pooling, redeployment and rightsizing opportunities
  • Evaluate acquisition and replacement requests before procurement
  • Monitor vehicle disposal and write-off programmes and recommend corrective action
  • Validate fleet data in corporate systems and track optimization compliance
  • Develop performance indicators, dashboards, policy papers and technical recommendations

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in supply chain, logistics, transport management, engineering, business administration or a related field, or a first degree with professional training and two additional years of experience
  • Five years of fleet, transportation or logistics experience
  • Experience coordinating with and reporting to senior and operational stakeholders
  • Fluency in English
