Summary of Responsibilities
- Identify transport advisory opportunities and support sector strategy and business development
- Assess transport investment proposals for technical feasibility, commercial risk and development impact
- Review major engineering, operations and concession contracts
- Develop market assessments, revenue projections, cost benchmarks and operating assumptions for financial models
- Appoint and supervise technical and market consultants and prepare appraisal reports
- Supervise transport investments through technical review and field inspection
- Resolve portfolio operating weaknesses and capture lessons for future projects
- Share sector knowledge and integrate it into project design and implementation
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline
- At least five years of professional experience in the transport or logistics industry
- Direct experience in at least one transport or logistics subsector with broad familiarity across others
- Experience working with or on private-sector transport projects
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to travel to and work in emerging-market countries
Desired Criteria
- Experience with private-sector transport projects in emerging markets
- Experience in technical due diligence, project appraisal, feasibility assessment or technical advisory work
