Job Description
Project Analyst leads UNDP civil-society components of the Sawasya III rule-of-law programme in Palestine. The role oversees implementation, budgets, workplans, procurement, monitoring and reporting; supervises the programme team; builds partnerships with civil-society and justice actors; supports resource mobilisation; and develops knowledge and policy inputs that strengthen access to justice.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Oversee UNDP civil-society components of Sawasya across the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip
- Manage budgetary and financial management, work planning, procurement, recruitment, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Supervise the Sawasya civil-society team and ensure timely delivery of programme outputs
- Prepare monthly narrative and financial progress updates, biannual reports and annual work, human-resource and procurement plans
- Develop partnerships with specialized civil-society organizations and oversee technical and financial support for legal assistance
- Maintain coordination mechanisms for national civil society and organize outreach, civic education and access-to-justice baseline activities
- Oversee requisitions, purchase orders and payment requests in Quantum and provide financial-delivery updates
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Law, Public Administration, Legal Affairs, Political Science or a directly related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- For candidates with a bachelor’s degree, at least two years of professional experience managing development projects and civil-society portfolios in Palestine
- Formal qualifications or operational experience in justice-sector reform, access to justice, legal reform or related issues
- Experience in programme planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation
- Experience working with public institutions, grassroots organizations and civil society
- Proven grant-management experience with civil-society organizations and a record of team building and staff supervision
- Fluency in Arabic and English
Desired Criteria
- Experience handling web-based management systems
- Experience overseeing and evaluating grants, calls for proposals and projects
- Experience drafting, editing and producing written results-focused reports
- Experience with UN or UNDP procedures
