Programme Policy Officer (Youth in Work)

WFP seeks a Programme Policy Officer to support Youth in Work and resilience initiatives in Mozambique. The officer will coordinate project delivery, strengthen market links for smallholders and youth-led enterprises, work with partners and government, prepare programme documentation, build capacity and contribute to new resilience projects and resource mobilisation.

• Support project management for Youth in Work and resilience actions
• Review legal and regulatory frameworks for programme implementation
• Assist cooperating partners to deliver programme activities
• Strengthen market linkages among farmers, youth-led enterprises and private-sector actors
• Support livelihoods, economic inclusion and market-systems actions
• Coordinate with internal and external counterparts
• Prepare donor reports, activity designs, briefing papers and monitoring documents
• Build capacity of WFP staff, partners and government counterparts
• Contribute to new resilience projects and resource mobilisation

• Advanced degree in economics, agriculture, agribusiness, development studies or a relevant international-development field
• At least one year of postgraduate professional experience
• Fluency in oral and written English and Portuguese
• Mozambican nationality

• Experience implementing climate, food-system, value-chain, livelihoods, resilience or youth economic-inclusion programmes
• Experience contributing to programme design and operations
• Experience contributing to policy discussions and decisions
• Experience liaising with government partners
• Local languages
