Job Description
Leads programme management for WFP’s Rakhine Area Office, coordinating implementation, monitoring and partner performance to deliver accountable assistance. The role manages planning, resources, agreements, distributions and reporting; builds staff and partner capacity; and represents WFP in sub-national forums while maintaining emergency readiness across Rakhine.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate planning, design, implementation, monitoring and budget management of Area Office programme interventions
- Manage Field Level Agreement processes before programme implementation and distributions
- Lead caseload planning and resource allocation using vulnerability analysis, targeting criteria and available resources
- Monitor cooperating-partner performance and implement improvement and capacity-strengthening plans
- Review commodity stocks and distribution requirements and coordinate commodity and ration adjustments
- Oversee beneficiary verification, targeting and Community Engagement Mechanism activities
- Prepare distribution plans, implementation schedules and programme reports for the Country Office and government counterparts
- Represent WFP in coordination forums and act for the Head of Area Office when required
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, international development, audit or a related field, or a first university degree with two additional years of relevant work experience or training
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Burmese
- Applicants must be Myanmar nationals

- At least three years of progressively responsible experience in planning activities or relevant fields
- Emergency field experience
- Management experience and oversight of external partners
- Experience implementing programmes and contributing to policy discussions
