Job Description

The Programme Analyst supports UN Women Myanmar's CERF-funded humanitarian portfolio, contributing to project design, implementation, monitoring and reporting. The role coordinates partners and proposals, monitors budgets and results, builds partner capacity, supports donor and inter-agency engagement, and develops advocacy, knowledge-management and communications products for programmes.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Contribute to humanitarian project strategy, programme design and proposal formulation
  • Lead implementation of programme activities, workplans and budgets
  • Coordinate calls for proposals, technical review committees and partner capacity assessments
  • Review and monitor implementing-partner financial and narrative reports
  • Train partners on results-based management and monitor implementation
  • Monitor programme activities and finances and draft monitoring, donor and UN Women reports
  • Support resource mobilisation, inter-agency coordination, advocacy campaigns and knowledge products

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in political or social science, international development studies or gender and women's studies
  • A first-level university degree plus two additional years of qualifying experience may substitute for an advanced degree
  • At least two years of progressively responsible experience in programme or project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building
  • Experience using office software, spreadsheet and database packages and web-based management systems
  • Fluency in English and Burmese
  • Myanmar citizenship or a Myanmar work permit

Desired Criteria

  • Project or programme management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or MSP
  • Experience in gender in humanitarian contexts
  • Experience in United Nations systems
  • Field experience
  • Knowledge of another official UN language
  • Experience using Oracle Cloud
