Job Description

Supports UNICEF zonal offices in Afghanistan with integrated programme planning, monitoring, budget oversight and results-based management. The specialist strengthens data use, risk mitigation, cash-based programming and social-protection coordination, working with field teams and partners to improve programme quality and accountability across three regional offices.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate zonal programme planning and monitoring functions
  • Track budgets, results and risks for programme delivery
  • Strengthen partner capacity and results-based management systems

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in Social Science, Statistics, Development Studies, Planning or related field
  • At least five years of relevant planning, monitoring or evaluation experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Open to Afghan nationals only

Desired Criteria

  • Another official UN language or a local language
  • Field monitoring, emergency programming or humanitarian response experience
  • Cash-based programming and third-party monitoring experience
