Job Description
The nurse provides first-line occupational health support for ICTP staff, consultants, fellows and visitors at the Miramare Campus. The role delivers immediate care, preventive-health guidance and medical-examination coordination, while maintaining confidential case management and links with medical specialists, health services and local authorities for campus personnel.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide first-aid care, assess needs and advise staff and visitors at the ICTP Miramare Campus
- Advise on disease management, preventive care, prescribed medication and self-care, referring people to physicians when needed
- Follow up on hospitalised patients and provide emotional support, diet-planning guidance and home-care information
- Organise entry medical examinations for new staff and periodic examinations for workplace risk categories
- Support disease-awareness, health-promotion and vaccination initiatives with ICTP and UNESCO Medical Services
- Maintain confidential medical liaison on sick leave and disability matters and coordinate appointments with laboratories and health facilities
- Maintain referral lists for specialists, laboratories, blood banks, ambulance services, pharmacies and health facilities
- Liaise with local health and civil-protection authorities on reportable infectious diseases while preserving confidentiality
Role Requirements
- Secondary, technical or vocational nursing qualification
- Registration with the Nursing Council - O.P.I and a valid nursing licence to practise
- At least five years of relevant experience as a nurse
- BLSD qualification
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Good working knowledge of Italian
- Entitlement to work in the European Union
