Summary of Responsibilities
- Undertake and develop front-line research projects in the field
- Mentor post-doctoral fellows, visitors and student researchers
- Teach diploma and international programmes and supervise student theses
- Report research results at international meetings
- Organise ICTP scientific activities and outreach in developing countries
- Apply for and manage individual research grants
Role Requirements
- PhD or equivalent advanced degree in Physics or a related discipline
- At least four years of relevant experience in condensed matter, statistical physics or a related field
- Internationally recognised research achievements in quantum many-body systems, quantum information processing or quantum technologies
- Excellent spoken and written English
