Job Description
Support UNESCO’s global ocean-science programmes through research, data, project delivery and stakeholder engagement. The intern contributes to knowledge and communication products, ocean partnerships, meetings, budgets, endorsed Ocean Decade actions and outreach across headquarters or field locations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Collect, organize and analyze ocean-programme data
- Prepare documents, concept notes and project materials
- Research ocean issues and contribute to publications
- Develop knowledge, advocacy and communication products
- Analyze partnership and resource-mobilization opportunities
- Support Ocean Decade stakeholders and working groups
- Organize meetings, events, workshops and budgets
- Maintain contacts and process Ocean Decade action endorsements
Role Requirements
- At least 20 years old
- Eligible third-year or final-year student, postgraduate student, recent graduate or final-year technical student
- Excellent written and spoken English or French
- Excellent computer and office-software knowledge
- Ability to work in an international team
Desired Criteria
- Working knowledge of the other UNESCO working language is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
