Job Description
UNIDO needs a Nairobi-based national consultant to coordinate an agro-industrial park project in Kenya. The coordinator will plan activities and budgets, oversee implementation and monitoring, liaise with government counterparts, supervise the local team, coordinate procurement specifications and reporting, and build partnerships that support project delivery and investment promotion.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Advise the Project Manager in preparing detailed work plan and budget, design monitoring and evaluation tool for the project activities
- Coordinate the execution of all activities leading to the successful implementation of the project in the country
- Liaise with government counterparts, provide regular updates, financial reports and troubleshot problems as required
- Coordinate the preparation of technical requirements/technical specifications for procurement
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for the programme according to donor specifications and UNIDO requirements
Role Requirements
- Only nationals or permanent residents of the country of the duty station are considered eligible
- Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in economics, engineering, sciences, agro-industries, environment, business administration, or other relevant discipline is required
- At least five (5) years of professional experience in coordinating the implementation of development/technical cooperation programmes/projects at national level, is required
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required
