Job Description
FAO seeks a National Project Support Specialist to coordinate SADC Regional Agricultural Policy activities under STOSAR II. The post will plan and implement workplans, connect stakeholders, institutions and donors, manage procurement and operations, monitor delivery risks and corrective action, and prepare technical reports supporting agricultural competitiveness and market access.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting for RAP project activities
- Serve as focal point for national stakeholders, partners, regional institutions and donors
- Lead annual and quarterly workplans within timelines, budgets and donor requirements
- Coordinate administrative, logistical, procurement and operational processes
- Monitor progress, identify delivery risks and ensure corrective actions
- Prepare technical and progress reports and support monitoring and evaluation
Role Requirements
- University degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Plant Health, Environmental Science, Food Security, Natural Resource Management or related field
- At least five years experience in agricultural development projects, coordination, monitoring and evaluation or stakeholder engagement
- Working knowledge of English at level C and French at level C
- Mauritian nationality
Desired Criteria
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
- Experience with government institutions, regional organizations or development partners
- Familiarity with agricultural policies and programmes in Mauritius and Southern Africa
