Job Description
Leads technical delivery for a UNIDO project strengthening artisanal and small-scale mining skills and decent employment in Zambia. The advisor will coordinate the project team and national partners, guide policy, training and capacity-building outputs, assure quality and inclusion, represent the project, and provide technical reporting on implementation, risks and results.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice on project implementation, budget execution and risk management
- Lead technical coordination of the project-management unit and national experts
- Develop technical inputs for mining-sector policies, guidelines and capacity-building tools
- Assure quality of assessments, curricula and training products
- Integrate gender inclusion, occupational safety and environmental compliance
- Represent the project in government consultations and high-level forums
- Prepare technical reports, briefs and progress updates for UNIDO management
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in economics, engineering, sciences, agro-industries, environment, business administration or a related discipline
- At least seven years of experience implementing technical-cooperation or development projects at national level
- Experience in artisanal and small-scale mining or the extractives sector
- Experience in capacity building, skills development or business-oriented assistance
- Experience in technical leadership, team coordination or advisory roles
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Desired Criteria
- Experience evaluating needs and conditions in Zambia or a similar country
- Experience with government, development agencies or United Nations agencies in Zambia or a similar country
