Job Description

Provides technical leadership on gender equality, vulnerability and social inclusion for UN Women’s energy-poverty policy work in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The consultancy convenes stakeholders, translates evidence into inclusive policy dialogue and practical learning, and helps women participate meaningfully in green-transition, municipal energy and climate planning processes.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead technical preparation and facilitation of Gender and Energy Poverty Dialogues
  • Moderate the SDG Week national policy dialogue and prepare conclusions and recommendations
  • Develop gender-responsive energy-poverty content for capacity-development workshops
  • Co-facilitate learning sessions on green transition and women’s participation
  • Contribute evidence and recommendations to municipal energy and climate planning
  • Synthesize stakeholder inputs into dialogue and municipal-engagement reports

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant policy, social science, gender, development, environmental, economics, law or energy discipline, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • At least five years of experience in gender equality, vulnerability or social inclusion including policy analysis
  • At least three years of experience in energy poverty, energy and climate policy, climate action or green transition
  • At least five years facilitating stakeholder consultations, policy dialogues or workshops
  • Fluency in Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian and English
