Strengthens UNICEF Myanmar’s programme-monitoring system amid evolving strategy and risk-management needs. The specialist manages office-wide and third-party monitoring for large IFI-funded projects, establishes coherent results systems, oversees high-value contracts and advances reliable programme data, information management and inter-agency coordination in complex humanitarian settings.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight for monitoring major IFI-funded and other large-scale complex projects
- Manage office-wide programme monitoring and third-party monitoring for large-scale projects
- Establish and update a sound results-monitoring system for complex humanitarian conditions
- Guide development of a reliable and sustainable programme data and information-management system
- Represent UNICEF Myanmar in technical coordination with donors, United Nations agencies and implementing partners
- Oversee high-value third-party contracts
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in statistics, economics, information management, development studies, social science, data science, monitoring and evaluation, social research or a related field
- At least eight years of increasingly responsible experience in programme monitoring, results-based management, data strategy, information management and performance management
- Experience developing data strategy and data or information systems in complex humanitarian settings
- Hands-on database administration and use of ActivityInfo, Kobo/InForm, Power BI, SPSS, STATA or R, plus data visualisation and GIS/cartographic outputs
- Proficiency in English

- Experience working in complex and multiple emergencies
- Experience with the United Nations or international NGOs
- Country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
