Job Description
Provides part-time medical assistance to migrants using IOM services in Zarzis, coordinating referrals, treatment follow-up and medical procedures for voluntary return. The physician assesses health and protection needs, supports outreach and public-health activities, manages medical supplies, and reports on cases and project results while working with health facilities, communities and the IOM medical team.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide part-time medical assistance to migrants accessing IOM services
- Coordinate hospital referrals and follow up treatment and medical conditions
- Support medical services in government health facilities when requested
- Assess migrant health needs and monitor the adequacy of services, including emergency response
- Identify psychosocial and protection concerns and refer them through established procedures
- Conduct health promotion outreach for migrants and host communities
- Coordinate storage, maintenance and procurement of medical equipment and supplies
- Submit individual case, progress and statistical reports and represent IOM at health-sector meetings
Role Requirements
- University degree in medicine with at least three years of continuous clinical work experience
- Fluency in French and Arabic

- General medicine or emergency medicine specialization
- Experience in community outreach and dialogue
- Practical monitoring and evaluation experience
- Experience in emergency situations and emergency cases

- Part-time consultancy with an expected workload of 60 hours per month
- IOM covers occupational accidents and illnesses but consultants must provide their own non-occupational medical insurance
