Job Description
Provides clinical, referral and public-health support to migrants in Zarzis through IOM’s Migration Health Unit. The nurse manages medical records and referrals, assesses health and protection needs, supports fitness-to-travel procedures and emergency response, delivers outreach and health-promotion activities, maintains supplies and reports on individual cases, project activities and service data.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide medical assistance to migrants accessing IOM medical services
- Create and maintain medical records and coordinate referrals with hospitals and medical centres
- Identify protection concerns and advocate for vulnerable migrants’ health needs
- Assess migrant health needs and monitor service provision, including emergency response
- Support fitness-to-travel checks and medical procedures for voluntary return cases
- Conduct health-promotion outreach with migrants and host communities
- Maintain medical equipment and supplies and submit case, progress and statistical reports
Role Requirements
- University or technical degree in nursing
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience
- Fluency in French and Arabic
Desired Criteria
- Experience in Tunisia’s public-health sector
- Project development, implementation and monitoring experience
- Community outreach and dialogue experience
- Working knowledge of English
