Job Description

Supports management services for WFP Pacific programmes funded by the US Government, coordinating facilities, travel, fleet, finance, procurement and vendor processes while maintaining donor compliance, accurate operational records and efficient service delivery across the multi-country office.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Verify resource requirements for travel, facilities, assets and fleet operations
  • Coordinate facilities, travel, protocol and fleet services for USG-funded operations
  • Compile and analyse operational data and prepare management and donor reports
  • Process administrative actions involving procurement, finance, human resources and vendor contracts
  • Review procedures and implement standard operating processes that strengthen compliance and efficiency
  • Respond to management-services queries and resolve operational issues
  • Supervise and guide staff supporting administrative and management services
  • Train staff on WFP procedures, systems and USG compliance requirements
  • Provide backup support for finance transactions related to USG-funded activities

Role Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school education
  • At least 5 years of experience in management services and resource management
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Strong experience with WFP grant-management and administration systems

Desired Criteria

  • Experience working on US-funded grants is desired
  • A post-secondary certificate or university degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, logistics, public administration or a related field is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of another UN language is an asset
