International Operations Manager

Direct operations for UNFPA's Dakar regional office and advise country offices across the region on finance, procurement, supply chains, risk, audits, technology, administration, security and common services. The role leads the operations team, strengthens controls and advances United Nations efficiency initiatives.

• Set strategic direction and management targets for regional and country-office operations
• Oversee budgets, finance, procurement, supply chains, partner assurance, technology, administration and security
• Lead risk management, internal controls, audit follow-up and compliance across the region
• Advise country offices on operational bottlenecks, staffing structures and emergency scale-up
• Supervise the regional operations team and build staff capacity through coaching and learning
• Represent the region in corporate committees and inter-agency operational working groups
• Advance common services, shared premises and United Nations efficiency initiatives

• Postgraduate degree in public administration, business administration, economics, management or a related field
• At least seven years of development experience in government, a multilateral organisation or civil society in a multicultural setting
• At least three years of experience managing teams in a complex organisational setting
• Knowledge of procurement, finance, human resources, contracts, assets and information technology
• Field experience
• Fluency in English

• Reports directly to the Regional Director
• Member of the Regional Management Team
