Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction and management targets for country-office operations
- Manage finance, human resources, procurement, logistics, travel and administration
- Maintain financial-system integrity and apply organisational rules consistently
- Supervise and develop operations staff and strengthen cross-unit teamwork
- Coordinate common services and joint arrangements with other UN organisations
- Implement premises and personnel security measures and represent UNFPA on security forums
- Improve business processes, cost effectiveness and client-oriented service delivery
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in public administration, business administration, economics, management or a related field
- At least seven years of development experience in government, a multilateral organisation or civil society in a multicultural setting
- At least three years of team-management experience in a complex organisation
- Solid procurement, finance, human resources, contract, asset and ICT knowledge
- Ability to lead strategic planning, results-based management and reporting
- Essential field experience
- Fluency in English
