Job Description
This UN Volunteer Logistics/Supply Officer assignment supports MONUSCO integrated warehouses in the DRC. It coordinates cargo receipts and movements, monitors contracts, inventory and asset controls, and turns warehouse and transport data into operational analysis so mission resources, storage capacity and distribution plans are managed accurately and efficiently.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor inbound shipments and advise warehouses on manpower, material-handling equipment and space requirements
- Track contracts and purchase orders with Procurement to plan warehouse receipts
- Coordinate mission cargo movements with Movement Control and Transport Unit
- Maintain transport, aircraft, backlog-cargo and cargo-movement tracking boards
- Develop asset transaction histories using SAP/UMOJA and reporting tools
- Analyse inventory performance, stock levels, forecasts and discrepancies
- Verify asset-control records and resolve inventory discrepancies with asset holders
- Monitor receipt and record updates for non-expendable mission items
Role Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in property management, warehousing management, inventory management and control systems, receipts and inspections, or relevant practical experience
- Background in business administration, logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations or equivalent
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of UN field-assets-management policies and procedures is desirable
