Job Description

The specialist will manage UNICEF supply-chain and logistics operations in Bunia, including emergency response, customs clearance, warehousing, transport, distribution and performance management. Working with programme sections, government systems and partners, the role will deliver supply interventions and technical advice while strengthening preparedness and coordination during emergencies.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Manage supply-chain and logistics components of operations including emergency responses
  • Plan logistics operations covering customs clearance, warehousing, transport and distribution
  • Manage logistics performance and supply-chain service delivery
  • Collaborate with programme sections on operational supply interventions
  • Provide technical and advisory support to governments, national systems and partners
  • Coordinate emergency supply-chain preparedness and response
  • Manage logistics team activities

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in supply chain management, transport and logistics
  • At least five years of relevant experience in supply chain, transport and logistics or related technical fields
  • Fluency in French and English
