Job Description
WFP seeks a Filipino-national Logistics Officer in Manila to establish National Humanitarian Response Hubs and improve emergency supply-chain readiness. The officer will oversee hub projects, preparedness frameworks and logistics assessments; facilitate multi-agency procedures and training; coordinate government; run simulations; and support handover and operationalisation of hubs.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Plan and implement the National Humanitarian Response Hub project across sites
- Provide technical input on mobile storage units, site preparation, infrastructure setup and warehouse layout
- Monitor depot installation for compliance with WFP standards and safety requirements
- Develop logistics preparedness systems, operational frameworks and business processes for depot operations
- Develop and facilitate standard operating procedures for storage, stock release, replenishment, emergency activation and multi-agency coordination
- Conduct Logistics Capacity Assessments and develop concepts of operations and location-specific plans
- Design and deliver simulation exercises, warehouse and emergency-logistics training and technical coaching
- Coordinate the Technical Working Group and align technical approaches with government and other stakeholders
- Monitor implementation, document lessons and contribute to donor reporting
- Support hub handover, initial depot operations and refinement of procedures
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in logistics, supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, disaster risk reduction and management, humanitarian affairs or a related field; a first degree with additional relevant experience or specialised training may be accepted
- At least one year of relevant professional experience with an advanced degree, or three years with a first degree
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Filipino nationality
Desired Criteria
- Experience with UN agencies, government institutions, humanitarian organisations or development partners
- Experience with warehouse operations, logistics systems, emergency response or supply-chain management
- Experience in logistics information management, data analysis and operational reporting
- Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D or other engineering software
