Job Description
UNDP seeks a Livelihoods Analyst in Niamey to support recovery in Niger’s fragile regions. The analyst will implement livelihoods, employability and entrepreneurship interventions; assess needs; strengthen vocational training and activities; advise partners; promote inclusion of vulnerable groups; coordinate workplans; and provide technical support for programme delivery.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Implement livelihoods and socio-professional reintegration activities under UNDP procedures
- Assess reintegration needs and opportunities and develop training and programme strategies
- Support vocational training, employability and income-generating activities
- Advise partners and beneficiaries on sustainable livelihoods and value-chain development
- Promote economic inclusion of women, youth and vulnerable groups
- Coordinate annual workplans for economic empowerment and employment
- Provide technical support for strategic and policy documents
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in development management, project management, economics, agricultural economics, rural development, social sciences or related field
- At least two years of relevant livelihoods, vocational training, employability, entrepreneurship or socio-economic recovery experience with a master’s degree
- Excellent French proficiency
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of Niger and Sahel social, political and security environments is desirable
- Project management certification is an asset
