Livelihoods Analyst

UNDP seeks a Livelihoods Analyst in Niamey to support recovery in Niger’s fragile regions. The analyst will implement livelihoods, employability and entrepreneurship interventions; assess needs; strengthen vocational training and activities; advise partners; promote inclusion of vulnerable groups; coordinate workplans; and provide technical support for programme delivery.

• Implement livelihoods and socio-professional reintegration activities under UNDP procedures
• Assess reintegration needs and opportunities and develop training and programme strategies
• Support vocational training, employability and income-generating activities
• Advise partners and beneficiaries on sustainable livelihoods and value-chain development
• Promote economic inclusion of women, youth and vulnerable groups
• Coordinate annual workplans for economic empowerment and employment
• Provide technical support for strategic and policy documents

• Advanced university degree in development management, project management, economics, agricultural economics, rural development, social sciences or related field
• At least two years of relevant livelihoods, vocational training, employability, entrepreneurship or socio-economic recovery experience with a master’s degree
• Excellent French proficiency

• Knowledge of Niger and Sahel social, political and security environments is desirable
• Project management certification is an asset
