Job Description

Supports IOM Republic of Korea’s Programme Support Unit across government and civil-society partnerships, refugee resettlement, movement operations and assistance to vulnerable migrants. The intern manages movement data and documents, supports procurement and logistics, assists stakeholder meetings and research, contributes to capacity-building events, and coordinates mission activities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Assist movement operations for refugees and vulnerable migrants through Incheon International Airport
  • Support refugee-resettlement administration, documentation and meetings
  • Support return and reintegration assistance through documentation and procurement
  • Assist stakeholder meetings, research and project development on domestic migrant agendas
  • Arrange seminars, conferences, meetings and related logistics

Role Requirements

  • Enrolled in last year of Bachelor’s degree programme or graduated Bachelor Degree programme or equivalent in international development, international relations, political or social sciences, migration studies, human rights, or related field
  • Professional proficiency in both Korean and English (oral and written) is required
  • Proficiency in office software package (e.g., MS Word, Excel)

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in desk research
  • Experience in international, non-governmental and/or government organization, and project support and implementation is desirable
  • Prior experience in an international environment is preferred
