Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities
- Deploy the government and citizen-communications sentiment-analysis prototype to production
- Design, train, test and improve machine-learning and NLP models in English and Swahili
- Develop at least three local AI tools that improve public-service delivery
- Prepare technical documentation, user guides, deployment and handover materials
- Apply responsible-AI, data-protection and security practices
- Gather requirements and demonstrate solutions with government and technical stakeholders
- Support at least three training workshops for government officers
- Maintain version-controlled source code and project assets
Role Requirements
- Academic background in computer science, data science or a related field
- Ability to work with English and Swahili language data

- Foundational Python and machine-learning-library knowledge
- Understanding of machine learning, natural-language processing, text classification and sentiment analysis
