Develops and maintains UNDP’s service-automation applications, using cloud-ready software, AI-enabled tools and enterprise integrations while improving reliability, documentation and technical support across global IT systems and automation services.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and deploy scalable applications using Rust, Node.js and Python
  • Build containerized cloud-ready applications and integrate automation and AI tools
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and improve applications and automation systems
  • Apply secure coding, documentation and version-control standards
  • Collaborate with IT, data and business teams on digital solutions
  • Prepare technical reports, user guides and architecture documentation

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or bachelor's degree with additional qualifying experience
  • At least two years of relevant experience with a master's degree or four years with a bachelor's degree
  • Experience in Rust, Node.js and Python programming
  • Hands-on Docker experience
  • Experience with software development lifecycle, Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Microsoft Azure, Power Platform and Microsoft 365 integration experience
  • Google Cloud Platform, Workspace APIs or Google-services integration experience
  • UN experience
