IMEO Science Communications Specialist

Develops strategic science communications for UNEP’s International Methane Emissions Observatory. The specialist creates communications plans, messaging and content for methane research, satellite alerts and data products; coordinates events and partner engagement; produces editorial and multimedia materials; updates digital channels; and tracks communications performance to increase.

• Develop communications plans for IMEO workstreams and data products
• Produce messaging and speaking points for outreach and media
• Coordinate event materials and partner communications
• Create edit and proofread digital and written content
• Advance multimedia content and update webpages
• Create communications KPIs for tracking and reporting

• First-level degree in communications journalism social sciences humanities or related field
• At least six years of experience in communications content strategy or journalism
• Impeccable writing and editing skills translating complex topics for diverse audiences
• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and delivering content under deadlines
• Fluency in oral and written English
