Develops strategic science communications for UNEP’s International Methane Emissions Observatory. The specialist creates communications plans, messaging and content for methane research, satellite alerts and data products; coordinates events and partner engagement; produces editorial and multimedia materials; updates digital channels; and tracks communications performance to increase.

- Develop communications plans for IMEO workstreams and data products
- Produce messaging and speaking points for outreach and media
- Coordinate event materials and partner communications
- Create edit and proofread digital and written content
- Advance multimedia content and update webpages
- Create communications KPIs for tracking and reporting
Role Requirements
- First-level degree in communications journalism social sciences humanities or related field
- At least six years of experience in communications content strategy or journalism
- Impeccable writing and editing skills translating complex topics for diverse audiences
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and delivering content under deadlines
- Fluency in oral and written English
