Job Description

Administers international personnel services for UNRWA through the full employee lifecycle, from appointment and onboarding to separation. The role maintains payroll, entitlement, attendance and performance records; produces personnel information for management and audit; and provides responsive client support. It helps ensure compliant HR operations for offices and staff across the Agency.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute appointment, contract, promotion, leave and separation documentation
  • Maintain official status files and digital personnel records
  • Administer personnel entitlements and ensure compliance with staff regulations and directives
  • Manage payroll and ERP data entry and resolve related issues
  • Prepare Agency-wide personnel data and reports for audit and management
  • Monitor ePER completion and maintain accurate performance information
  • Provide client services from onboarding to separation
  • Monitor attendance and leave records and support year-end closure

Role Requirements

  • University degree in human resources management, public or business administration or a related field
  • At least four years of progressively responsible experience in personnel management including entitlements administration and client services
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Arabic
  • Internal candidates only
  • Jordan residence within commuting distance of Amman and authorization to work in Jordan

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of UNRWA Staff Rules and Regulations
  • Knowledge of ICSC and UN policies on salaries, allowances and benefits
  • Familiarity with the Agency HRM system
  • SAP and finance background
