Job Description
Supports UNICEF Pacific’s Health and Nutrition programme in South Tarawa by strengthening primary health care, maternal and child health, nutrition and evidence-led programme delivery. The volunteer works with government, UN and civil-society partners on planning, monitoring, technical coordination, donor engagement and documentation of results in a climate-vulnerable small-island setting.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support implementation and monitoring of the Health and Nutrition workplan
- Analyse data and situation assessments to inform programme planning
- Provide technical support to primary health care, immunisation and community services
- Support nutrition interventions on infant feeding, micronutrients and undernutrition management
- Coordinate with government ministries, development partners, UN agencies and civil society
- Prepare reports, briefs, evidence products and communications on programme results
Role Requirements
- UNICEF national staff appointment with at least one year of fixed-term service
- Experience in programme management, monitoring and reporting
- Technical expertise in health systems strengthening or nutrition programming
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in small-island or fragile contexts
