Job Description
IOM Nigeria seeks a Head of Programme Coordination and Innovation Unit to manage activities, project development and programme support. The post assesses opportunities, develops proposals, improves reporting, coordinates monitoring and evaluation, advises on migration trends, liaises with donors and counterparts, and advances knowledge, fundraising and programme quality across the country office.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise unit staff delivering programme and project development, implementation and reporting tasks
- Assess funding opportunities and prepare proposals and concept notes for IOM Nigeria
- Review project reports, fact sheets and programme documents with project managers and units
- Coordinate and evaluate programme activities, advise on corrective measures and support quality reporting
- Liaise with donors, project partners, country offices, regional office and headquarters to support implementation and engagement
- Analyze migration issues and emerging trends and recommend actions relating to risks and opportunities
- Guide programme staff on implementation, monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance
- Develop communications and visibility materials and respond to HQ and regional-office information requests
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in political or social science, international relations, law or a related field with five years of relevant experience
- University degree in the stated fields with seven years of relevant experience
- Experience in international migration management and evaluation
- Experience in migration project development, management, implementation and monitoring systems
- Knowledge of project monitoring and evaluation
- Fluency in English, oral and written
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge and experience of regional issues is an advantage
- Working knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage
