Graphic Design Support

OHCHR's New York Office seeks one Online Volunteer to develop up to five visual designs that increase visibility for its human-rights communications and advocacy work. Under the Public Information Officer's guidance, the volunteer will turn agreed requirements into social-media and event assets, revise designs to approved specifications, and apply OHCHR visual identity and branding guidelines.

• Create draft designs from agreed communications requirements and discuss concepts with the focal point
• Develop and revise visual products in response to feedback and approved specifications
• Produce layouts and designs for social-media assets and event materials
• Deliver up to five visual graphic designs during the assignment
• Apply OHCHR visual identity and branding guidelines to every design product
• Work with the Public Information Officer and relevant colleagues on communications and advocacy activities

• Professional experience in graphic design and document-layout design
• In-depth knowledge of graphic-design applications
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Applicants must have their own access to the tools needed to produce the required output
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Video editing and motion-graphics animation experience
• Degree in graphic design or a related field with relevant multimedia and communication experience
• Background in media and communications tools with an emphasis on communication campaigns
